Are CANDLES And REED DIFFUSERS Impacting The AIR QUALITY In Our Homes?
While indoor pollution can be caused by a variety of things, scented products like candles, air fresheners and reed diffusers are releasing hundreds of chemicals that could be harming our air quality.
The US Environmental Protection Agency released a report indicating that levels of indoor air pollutants are often exceeding that of outdoor air by more than three times. And while these products could be a major contributor, you don’t need to remove all your fave scented candles and diffusers. Instead, maybe try burning soy, beeswax or other non-paraffin candles and ensure your space has proper ventilation throughout the year.
