Keanu Reeves is fighting fungal infections with unprecedented effectiveness!
Well, kind of… Scientists have discovered a new compound from bacteria that is so deadly to fungal infections that they’ve named it after Keanu Reeves. Called ‘Keanumycin’, this new substance will be used as our crops’ last line of defence against grey mould, like Neo against the machines. The researchers also found that (much like the actor) it’s non-toxic to humans! This means Keanumycin could one day hunt down fungal infections through your body like a microscopic John Wick.
